Curriculum Enhancements
Chapel and Worship (available to all students) Chapel is an integral part of our school program. We celebrate together as a community of faithful people. This focus on Christian values provides the center around which all academic, social, and spiritual goals revolve. The school recognizes the religious diversity of its community and actively promotes respect and acceptance of all faiths.
Computers: (available to Pre-K, JK and Elementary students) The overall goal of our computer program is to help students become skillful producers and consumers of information. Students learn about proper care and use of computers. Educational software is used to improve familiarity with the computer and to enhance classroom learning.
Fine Arts: (available to Elementary students) Under the guidance of artists-in-residence, Elementary students develop an appreciation for the visual and performing arts. While participating with the visual artist, students will be exposed to various media, techniques and processes. The students will use art materials and tools as they communicate their ideas, experiences and stories. While participating with the musicians, students will integrate vocabulary and language development with note reading and identification. They will be introduced to rhythmic patterns demonstrated through musical performance examples. The Fine Arts Fiesta at the close of the year will showcase the learning and development that has taken place throughout the year.
Library: (available to Threes, Pre-K, JK and Elementary students) By attending weekly library classes, students develop the motivation and the skills necessary to read and write. As they hear stories read aloud, look through books on their own, and retell familiar stories, they have many opportunities to grow in the areas of language development, cognitive development and social/emotional development.
Music and Movement: (available to Twos, Threes, Pre-K and JK students) Music education is an important part of a young child’s development of large and fine motor skills, language experience and reading readiness. Christ Church School introduces children to the world of song, rhythm, rhyme and movement.

Physical Education: (available to Elementary students) Physical Education plays an important role in a child’s growth and development. The program at Christ Church School is designed to be a foundation to assist with lifelong fitness. Physical activity can stimulate brain development, enhance motor coordination and increase energy levels. The program provides an opportunity for each child to develop skill competencies which will allow him/her to play successfully with peers and at the same time, develop their self-esteem.
Religion: (available to Elementary students) Our Religion classes begin teaching our Elementary students more about the life of Jesus and the Bible. Students are introduced to the different colors and symbols for the seasons of the church year. They are given the opportunity to discuss prayer and faith in order to understand that these are special parts of their everyday lives.
Spanish: (available to Pre-K, JK, and Elementary students) Students are offered the opportunity to be exposed to a foreign language at an early age. Oral and written introductions to vocabulary are integrated with individual classroom themes using puppets, songs and games. The program promotes interest and appreciation for Spanish-speaking peoples and their cultures, contributing to an attitude of global understanding and citizenship.
